Fat Guy and His Trainees - Right now the news overflows with stuff about hurricanes - "Harvey" in Texas and "Irma" aiming itself right at Florida. I hit the computer keyboard's appropriate little keys and out of the monitor screen come pix of Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas underwater and a big red blob with "Irma" written in its middle that is aiming at Puerto Rico and, after that small island, the cities of South Florida. Oh, the wind, the water, and the monotony of it all... Comic relief from the boredom of fierce hurricanes and destruction has arrived. I just tune in to news purveyor websites on the Internet that are all dealing with the unfunny stuff being broadcast at us from the Fat Guy's nuclear war mongering outfit in impoverished North Korea. The unfunny stuff is all the news about the testing of his ICBM rockets and the H-bombs they might, sooner or later, rain down on cities in the USA and elsewhere. This is replacing the destruction from Nature's hurricanes with destruction courtesy of the Fat Guy in North Korea. What's so funny about that? (Good question...) Linked here is a photograph set straight from Fat Guy's official news service. It is a photo among almost identical photos that all show the Fat Guy surrounded by his many generals (those he has not yet exterminated) , who are standing around, all looking at that at which the stout-fellow is, himself, looking. Always two or three of those be-medaled military guys are pictured holding onto little writing pads and writing instruments (pens, pencils, crayons?). The viewer is caused to wonder if the assembled and very attentive "Generals" are writing Fat Guy's words onto their pads, of are they re-designing their new rockets and H-Bombs while they are taking in an important lesson from their button-popping leader. Just for grins, I began to look for photos of these scenes - Fat Guy pointing out something or other to his assembled and always focused generals and two or more of the group with paper and pens in hand as they all pay attention to whatever it may be that Fat Guy is telling them. The photos are all so much alike - Fat Guy explaining something and his assembled crew gathered around, several of them with pens and pads handy, ready to write down any stray bits of wisdom to be gleaned from Dear Leader's lips.
