It's about time to get to bed. I'm usually just getting warmed up around 11 PM but those alarm clocks went off this morning, jarring me back to reality and that working week that Elvis Costello bemoaned. Before beady-bye, here's the next song on my list of favorite Beatles songs. #2: Blackbird Wowza. What a great song. Listening to this, which was in essence Paul solo, it's not hard to understand why he had the biggest commercial solo career. And, as I've said previously, I don't like the White Album, but if you have been keeping track, this is the third song from that album! I think there's just too much junk (cough-cough-"Revolution #9") on it for my taste. That doesn't mean that there aren't great songs on it, and it probably would have been a masterpiece as a single album. But anyway, if you want to go as far opposite as the rockers "Helter Skelter" and "Back in the USSR" as you can go, here's the song for you. Simply stunning. According to Picky Wedia, Paul kind of likes this too, as he's played it on every tour he's undertaken since. Bravo, Sir Paul....but there is one better, in my opinion. I like the feel of this song! It matches the lyrics so well and I agree, Paul had the best solo/band career commercially. He was a hit making machine!

Paul was far and away the most talented of the four.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, this is not exactly my favorite Beatles song. But yeah, overall, Paul did seem to have the hot hand.
