Favorite "Weather" Songs #3 - "Happy When it Rains"

If it ain't hurricane's and flooding, it's extreme heat and wildfire's. What the hell is going on with the weather in this country right now, anyway? We're at #3 in my Favorite "Weather" Songs series, which is songs that reference some sort of weather in the title: "Happy When it Rains" by The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Like yesterday's entry by The Cure, I've used "Happy When it Rains" before. And why not? Unless I get caught out on my bike in it, I enjoy rain once in awhile (although, it does get old when it rains everyday, but I'm certainly not complaining about our very rainy August.) "Happy When it Rains" celebrates those downpours, with vocalist Jim Reid singing happy thoughts simply because the rain reminds him of a former relationship.
By the point of their 1987 album, Darklands, Scottish brothers Jim and William Reid were the only members of alternative guitar band The Jesus and Mary Chain (their drummer, Bobby Gillespie, had left to form the critically acclaimed Primal Scream.) The duo morphed from their noisy, heavily distorted pop music sound into a more (keeping much of the distortion intact) listener-friendly direction on the album. It paid off: the alt-pop "Happy When it Rains" became the band's second highest charting single at that time, peaking at #25 in the UK.
I've attached the official video. Although the Reid brothers used a drum machine on the song, the video utililizes an actual drummer (stand up drummer, at that.) See if you notice him.
Enjoy!

Yep, LA to Washington state is burning here in the west. A hurricane about to hit Florida and saying it has a good chance of creating more Damage than Harvey. I think Mother nature hates Trump also. I make bad jokes.

My girlfriend is following the major fire in Oregon, since she's from there. Apparently it's worse than the one we had a few years ago.

@teamfreak16 Yeah, when I used to play a lot of street ball in the early 90's. The smog was still pretty bad here. Your lungs would burn. That fire was the only time I ever had that happen to me again and only need walking to see how bad the air was from the fire.

Hard to miss a guy standing up playing the drums. You don't see that much (I think the only times I've ever seen it in concert were the Stray Cats and the Violent Femmes).
This was a 120 Minutes staple!
