Late Night Photography - Part 2

Still playing around with unique lighting methods after dark, and I have some more ideas in the works that will hopefully add more spice to my next round of portraits. I've been considering using dry ice, smoke and other means of creating unique effects for my photography. Perhaps I'm getting a little ambitious, I'm excited to try some new things!

I like this a lot! Personally... and I don't know how you feel about critique... But I feel like I would've tried to get the model to look like shes more involved in what she's doing with the lights she's holding.. she seems emotionless and like she's not enjoying the activity. It feels forced. A little smile can lighten the whole mood of this photo in my opinion. Otherwise the quality is great and I like the viewpoint

When it comes to the technical side of photography, I feel like I've got that down pat. I can get my photo exposed and looking the way I want to generally, but I've found that the hardest thing for me to do is to get the desired emotions and expressions from my models. It's something I'm working on constantly, so I appreciate the critique! I took several different shots of the same pose with different expressions as well, but after looking through all of them side by side, I found I really liked the serious expression the most.

Or this one, where the model's boyfriend made a comment toward her off camera, which caused her to smirk and look at him as I snapped the photo.

@CodenameFStop I like all 3 photos! Yes, posing models does sound pretty difficult! Nonetheless I think they all came out great!
