I got an oil painting which is about a kin of golden flower, I wonder what's the name of this flower, sunflower, chrysanthemum or anything else?

I think I would call it a chrysanthemum rather than a sunflower. It's very stylised but it has many petals in layers around a small, yellow centre rather than just one layer of yellow petals round a dark centre. The leaves are somewhat different from the chrysanthemum leaves I'm familiar with but that may be something to do with 'artist's licence'! It's a very attractive picture. If you have it as shown in the photo, I suggest that it needs to be mounted and stretched over a suitable wooden frame (and some of the top border trimmed off).

Maybe you are right, and the more I stare at it, the less I believe it's sunflower.

Okay, I agree with you, it's really more chrysanthemum rather than sunflower.
