My son had started to eat fried garlic since early this year. Since young, I had tried to influence him to eat garlic because it is a natural anti everything and helps to boost his immune system against runny nose. He has nose allergy. He began eating fried garlic in May this year but never develope any bad breath. Why these few days he had sudden awful bad breath? Usually, he would gurgle after every meal but I could smell the bad breath coming from his breath even after mouth wash and brushing teeth. What could be the reason? photo by peachpurple

@peachpurple you also mention constipation and bloating in one of your comments, so maybe take him to the doctor?

It could be a bunch of reasons, it could be he has gastric issues, he may not be eating properly, he may have a cavity or tonsil stones (which can cause bad breath). I would assume he brushes properly too. If it persists, take him to the doctor so they can find out what's wrong.

That is strange. Any other changes in his diet?

His system is not clean. Drinking more water helps to get rid of the smell as it cleans the stomach

Gastric problem also causes halitosis
Twenty-five percent of the population suffers from bad breath, but how do you know if it's simply something you ate or a more chronic problem?

The mouth will obviously smell because garlic is very strong and you can't expect fresh breath after daily consumption of it. :)

Does he eat anything else that maybe he gets bad breath from or could it be the fried garlic?
