Investment in Cryptocurrencies

Nowadays as you know bitcoin price is company constantly going up and there is chance that it may again go down steady.
Also currently there are lot of new crypto currency platforms which are emerging and seem profitable.
I think now it is time to invest in other currencies that are linked to Blockchain. Some of these are steem, decent and voice. Their values are growing day by day and seem to be long term profitable.
What do you think?

My friend has a few thousand in bitcoin and hundreds in various other currencies like nem, lite, name and a few others.
yesterday he lost 2k and he hasn't made it back yet
I think it is a good thing to consider investing in but there are no guarantees you won't lose your money.
