As I opened my Facebook account today, I have noticed that some of my friends have started taking out their christmas decoration stuff from their basement showing signs that decorating is on the way in preparation for the Christmas season. In fact, some of them have finished decorating their houses and offices and it gives the viewers joy to see all these festive look. As for me, I have not started decorating yet usually I do it by November but this year I might start earlier. How about you? Have you started decorating yet?

Most Filipinos do not start decorating not unless November 1&2 has passed which is " All Saint's day" and " All Souls Day" respectively, or Halloween to some, during these days we pay respect to our dearly departed by going to cemeteries and lighting candles at home. It would be considered poor taste and even funny by the majority if you decorate prior to these dates, Halloween decors first

Hi! Yes that is my reason also why I don't decorate early as well because the halloween is still coming :-) I usually do my decorations after November 1. But as I have noticed, some of my friends who happen to be Filipinos also are starting to do their decorations well probably because the "ber" months have started. :-)

@Purpleflower05 there is just something not right with combining Halloween and Christmas decorations lol, maybe, just maybe one is Pagan and the other is Christian.

No, I haven't. Halloween decors first and then Christmas decors go up once those are taken down.

@Purpleflower05 yeah but Christmas officially starts on the first day of September. Christmas carols are already playing in malls and in radio stations and Christmas decors are put up already. Halloween is just an after-thought.

@allen0187 you are correct. The moment the month ends with "ber", the christmas air can be felt around right?

Nope, my hubby is a Chinese, so no deco at home. My parents house won't be decorating either because mom threw away the mock xmas tree long time ago
