What makes you stay in your job?

September 11, 2017 7:50am CST
I have been teaching in the university for more than 11 years now. And do I still plan to spend another decade in this job? Yes, because I consider teaching more than a job. It's a challenging job but I look forward to every semester facilitating students' learning and gaining learning opportunities even from the students. My students have especially taught me how to cope with the behaviors and characterisitics of "millenials."

Gosh! I really want to give some ideas but I was not able to stay in my job for long too! I think it really depends on how you enjoy working there

I agree with you. I think it's one necessary requirement for you to stay in a job - know how to enjoy in your workplace :-)

I have been doing mechanical design for three years, and I have been making industrial equipment. I want to move to another place to do mechanical design, such as robot

Your job is also an amazing one. My husband is a mechanical engineer and he likes designing, too. But his position in the company where he's working is not on mechanical design.

@ronelaine Now I am also more inclined to work in research and development. What does your husband do.

I left my job as soon as I was financially able to do the kinds of things I love. I've never regretted that decision.
