My heart goes out to those affected by the hurricanes

While I'm miles away from Florida and the Caribbean, my heart goes out to the victims of the recent hurricanes and floods. Being a victim of a similar incident years ago where my family and I lost almost everything, I can feel the pain and anxiety.
I have a relative in Florida who lives alone, my dad said he put duct tape on all windows so that if ever they get smashed, he'd still be protected from the broken glass. Last we know, he's okay.
I wish I can give a big amount but I only have so little right now (and we're also experiencing really bad weather in the Philippines). So all I can offer are prayers to those who have been affected by this calamity. May you find the strength to rise again.

It's not a normal life for them, it's been disrupted. At least in my experience, we didn't have to go an evacuation center.

I think they're not used to that kind of condition. But even for us who are used to storms, that kind of hurricane/typhoon is still scary.
