Swagbucks - the story so far

I've mentioned this site a few times on various threads and I'm not too happy about it to be honest. This sites pays you to take surveys among other things such as watching videos. I have been concentrating on taking surveys as this pays the most in the form of 'swagbucks' which can be swapped for cash via Paypal or Amazon giftcards. It started off well and I was making over a 100 swagbucks per session of about an hour max. Then once I hit 350 swagbucks, I wasn't being offered many surveys and the ones I did I would reach 99% completed and be waiting for the final page and it would bounce me back to the start and say sorry, you weren't successful and I would end up with no swagbucks being issued.. I'm only a few swagbucks off being able to cash out for £3 and I can't reach it and the amount of time I'm spending at Swagbucks is stupid. Anyone else here a member and if so how are you finding it?

I've been a member there for years and it only works well if you accept it as a very slow earning site with minimal time investment. I do the daily poll and use the search and that's mainly how I get one gift card per month. I won't take most surveys there because they pay so little. Each SB is worth $.01 and my requirement for surveys is that they pay me at least $.10 a minute or they are not worth it. Granted, I don't make a lot on surveys anymore but I'm also not giving away my time for pennies. SB is not a big earner but spending a couple minutes there each day and using the search feature will get you at least $5 a month.

@SerenityEngel I don't have the search bar installed. I just search from the site. Now, in my daily routine I visit a lot of sites, and I use SB search every time. So far today I have had one search reward of 9SB and I expect to at least get a couple more today. Some times I get those big ones, but rarely.

@paigea I used it just now and it gave me 9sb - that means I could order my giftcard, which I just did. Wasn't happy giving them my address though. Not sure I will be using SB or not in the future. I think the way forward it like to say to use the search feature and hope I get some points. Those surveys are awful.

have you installed the search feature on your browser? I used it via the site and they gave me 20 swagbucks, but only once. Every other time nothing. The daily pole is a guaranteed earner for me LOL! That's how bad it has become.

Yes, I'm a member. It is slow going these days, but I still persist. I do the daily poll, and use their search function, so sometimes I'll win SwagBucks even when I'm not on the site. The surveys are exasperating at times, but if you get one that goes through, it's worth it.

I didn't get one last night. The night before only one worked for me.

@BarBaraPrz I'll be hitting there next. My next post on swagbucks will be what I did with my £3.50 voucher

I have been with swagbucks for years. I live in the United States and it may be that we have more and better opportunities than in other countries. Nevertheless, I have some extremely good days and some very bad days. Last week, I had a very bad survey day on swagbucks. I completed about three surveys, submitted, and got a "sorry but not all surveys are winners". Two of the surveys were long. I was really unhappy with swagbucks that day but I have been very happy with swagbucks other days. As said, I think that we have more and better opportunities in the United States.

I just do the daily poll and try to use it as a search engine now. It took up way too much time and not even the videos to watch would generate any cash.

Some have luck with it and others don't. I'm part of the no luck with it category. I have found that I don't qualify for most of the surveys. I just get the codes, put them in now and let that add up. Other than that, I don't bother with it anymore. I feel it's too much time being wasted as well.

That sounds frustrating. Only once or twice have I been kicked out of a survey after completing it. Usually if I don't qualify I am kicked out after the initial questions. Those 2 times I sent a note to support and they gave me some Swagbucks. Anyway, I take a month or more to reach $25, but I don't spend a lot of time. Some days I have time to try all the surveys listed for me. Some days I don't have time. It does seem that if I try every survey offered, the next day there might be none or only one. And then another day there will be a whole bunch. I try to do the daily poll and get my 10SB from games daily. I ALWAYS use the search function for every website I go to in the course of my normal day. That gets me points every day. I do surveys when I can. So, I spend less than an hour even on the days I qualify for a survey. I don't want to spend any more time than that.

Maybe I should have contacted support when I reached 99% on a survey for amazon online shopping. Last night I tried to watch vids, went to turn the sound up. It went back to main menu and told me no videos were available.

@paigea I tried again to adjust the volume and it took all the vids away from me.

I am on Swagbucks and do NOT bother with their surveys at all. Just doing my searches there and sometimes watch some videos.

I am a member of Swagbucks. I mainly do surveys there. Not always easy to qualify. And it is very frustrating when I seem to be taking a survey and then in the middle of it get booted out or disqualified. I am not sure if I ever had an issue where I do the whole survey and get booted out without getting credited. But lately I have issues with Shop & Earn. Each time I make an online purchase via Swagbucks I have to contact support to be credited. I did this four times already and now have to contact them for two more orders. The SB has to be credited automatically but it is not working for some reason. I always cashout for PayPal cash. I don't remember exactly how many times I redeemed already but I think it was eight. I signed up for another set of surveys where you earn SB but so far I have not been able to qualify for any survey I try to do.

A lot of people write about Swagbucks, but I've never even been on that site.

I think it is one of those sites that will drive me nuts. I'm still to work out what I'm to spend that £3.50 on I've earned. Maybe a sparks album - oh on, that would take 2 giftcards :-D
