Empty Wallet

I got this wallet that says it's $135 and it made me think. A wallet this expensive should be carrying money equivalent to or more than its tag price!
I don't usually buy wallets and all of my wallets were given to me. And all these wallets cost more than a hundred. These generous people might be thinking I have a lot of cash to put inside those costly wallets. But I don't usually carry big amount of cash. I have cards. So I need a wallet that has many slots for cards and they need not be expensive.
I feel ashamed that my wallet costs more than what's in it. Oh and mylot has paid me $11 and that hasn't even turned to cash yet !
How much cash do you carry with you?

@LadyDuck Oh yeah there are really places that aren't safe at all.
I like traveling and sometimes I go to places they call the danger zone as well because it is flocked by robbers and pick pocket but somehow I have never been a victim and never wish to be one in the future. Maybe my looks is never inviting lol!

@toniganzon It happened in the United States, in Miami, they grabbed my handbag and made me fall on the ground. It was a traumatic experience.

I thought the same how silly it was to pay for such a price of the wallet but there's a much even expensive wallets like LV, Gucci, Hermes! We may find them silly but why are they so salable?

@toniganzon I bought my 2-year-old leather wallet in Value Village not in Winners. It looked brand new . . Maybe the owner just bought it before he kicked the bucket!

When I'm just here I don't carry a lot of cash but the truth is my wallet always has more than $100. Just in case of emergency. When I buy something expensive, I pay in card or check.

@infatuatedbby The big difference between our place I think is that you can charge almost everything their to your card. Not here. So cash is important.

@toniganzon I often don't carry cash. I like to charge everything and that way I get cash back. I always pay everything when I get the bill.

Oh, your wallet is so costly, Toni.
My wallet is not costly. Though, in it are two of my credit cards and atm cards.
As to money, I only carry enough for my needs. Just in case I would buy something, I have my debit card.
As to the rest of my money for my allowance it's in my savings tin can at home. When I ran out of money and don't like to withdraw anymore, I just open the lock and get some few hundreds.

@antonbunot But why? Maybe she doesn't trust you with them, lest you let your girl have lots of gifts by you buying them through the credit card.

i have a coin purse, where i have 2 hundred pesos and twenty pesos, and so many one peso coins. i have a wallet in my bag where i also put all my cards, PRC, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig, IV therapy cards, and many more. but my ATM cards, they are in my room and i just get them when i have a transaction in the bank.
i was not paid though, because i did not reach the minimum, i lacked about $0.1000 only.

My atm is a debit card and I don't carry that much cash. I use my credit card, debit card, or checks for paying more expensive items.

@ridingbet Itunes ripped me off ones but when I called their hotline all the money was refunded into my credit card. Somebody hacked my card before but my bank also refunded that and changed my cc with a new chip. So now it's safer coz each transaction I make has to be confirmed with OTP password which can be sent only through my phone number or email.

I also think that it is meaningless to buy an expensive wallet. Today I don't have more money in my wallet. Besides the cards, in fact today it is quite popular for us to pay by the cellphone. Even if a street vendor can accept it. This is why today I hardly use cash or keep the wallet with me

@toniganzon Now the street vendors seem to like receiving money from the phone because it is both convenient for the buyers and sellers. And nobody will be worried about the fake money.

Come on, a wallet costing $135.00?! O, it is a gift! Must be a gift from Imelda asking favors from you . . .

Imelda wouldn't give such a wallet as she considers it cheap. $135 is not that expensive.

If it's enough for your daily expense there's no need to have more than that.

Most of the time I carry very little with me unless I have just been at the Flea Market selling things, or made a sale or two on OfferUp and just got paid. Most of the time, my $$ is on a debit card or gone as it was used for bills.

I wish that all stores here accept debit or cc so I don't have to bring cash anymore. But cash is really important here and we cannot do away with it.

Most guys do that but I don't advice that to my son since he also puts his cellphone and hankie in his pocket. He had already lost a few bills because he put them in his pocket. So now he carries a wallet with him.
