I am 53 years old and it's my first time to underwent a general medical/physical examination. This includes laboratory testing, mammography, Pap smear, ultra vaginal sound and derma care.
Well, almost everything is normal and negative, thanks God. Except for my hypertension and high cholesterol. So, my internist prescribes my medication and maintenance.
I was surprised to see aspirin as part of my maintenance. I thought aspirin is used only to treat pain and to reduce fever or inflammation. Now, I know it is also used to treat or prevent heart attacks, strokes, and chest pain.

Wow, this is all new to me. I hope as I grow up more i won't need to have that kind of maintenance. I'm currently taking some pill for my uric acid already.
