Should we bring back Death Penalty?

Watching news is part of my morning daily routine. As usually, killings, rapes, drugs all over the world is on the top list of the news. Nothing new. Its like the news is not complete without these. Despite of the the laws we have, seems like these psychos will never stop. With this, should we bring back death penalty? Do people who commit heinous crimes deserve the death penalty? In my view, it's "nah, lets give them a chance and forgive them". But thats because i dont have a family memebr that has been murdered. But I were to put my shoes on the families left behind by their loved ones because of these psychos, its gonna be "an eye for an eye and tooth for the tooth". Should we?
