Have you ever defaulted or missed a credit card payment and ended up paying a fine?

I use a credit card fairly regularly and always pay off my dues on time so that I don't get fined or pay charges. If you don't pay on time the charges are exorbitant! Have you ever missed a credit card payment and ended up paying a fine or extra charges?

Couldn't you contest the charge if it wasn't your fault. Lucky it was only 3$

Once and I never made the same mistake again. Too costly.

Yes, but back in the day when I used to get paper statements and one went missing in the mail. I didn't bother trying to fight it as without the paper bill I completely forgot I had to pay it! I'd only used the card for a tiny amount so the fine I paid was more than twice what I had used on the card.

I usually try not to use credit cards but this is one of the only ways to go when your buying big ticket items and you dont have a pocket full of money. Credit gets you what you normally cant get just for a more inflated price.
