Our siberean husky was given to us by our Godparents in our wedding, they said we must practice how to take care of a dog first, before planning to have a baby, One evening, when we are about to rest? My husband cant sleep as he was hearing a howl in the middle of the night, when I got up I dont hear anything and asked him to go back to bed. Minutes later, he get up on his bed and get down our house looking for where the sounds came from, so I went down with him too, but I dont hear anything again. He is slowly came down with me at his back. When a huge howling happened, Awoooooooo! I run back to our bedroom and my husband switch the lights on, looking our husky made the noise. The next day we are laughing and my husband then search about the dog and its characteristics, so the next time he will howl we will know what to do.

Yeah Huskies is closest dog species to wolves and one of the prettiest howls you will ever hear. Take care of that dog because really is walking history. Your family is right one of the hardest dogs to care for also. Cannot handle it cannot handle a baby, my opinion of course and from what I read with good spirits, Handled it well and can indeed handle a baby.

@Llorakay You did well, but would call your family out because that is over most people's head, but at the same time a very great teaching lesson. How you look at I suppose I probably be inclined to be mad, but people do not really learn these days unless a little blind sided. Keep those spirits one way or another, could tell you know how to face this cruel world.

So you got a husky without really knowing about it?
You should read more too about what the dogs need. They shed a lot and they need water a lot and they easily get sick when it's too hot. Husky thrives better in an air-conditioned room.
Huskies don't bark, they howl.

Is that a family tradition or something? That's interesting. Will you breed that dog and give one to your future grand children when they get married?

@Mistletoe11 yes we can give them a pet but not a siberean, it is expensive when you buy it here in the Philippines.

Now you know... sooner you will discover more about your dog.
But you know, in some places here in our country specially with some elders, they don't like when they hear a dog howling because according to them its a bad sign. but of course that's just an old belief from elders.

Try giving your dog some food and fresh water. Dogs howl when there's a problem, they are hungry, or they're uncomfortable.
