Another Day Of Change

I am 41 I remember when I was younger and how things change when you get older not sure about others. Sometimes I miss the days of no responsibility or little responsibility living carefree as a young person. What do you prefer adult life or carefree younger life.

One of my sons has a t-shirt, "Don't grow up, it's a trap". Sometimes I feel that way. I think I was made for more than working and paying bills. Maybe because I am not enjoying myself now the way I did earlier on.

@mildredtabitha Yes it does. You know when we are young all we want to be is an adult, but then there are bills, medical payments, housing, arugh...it can all be overwhelming no matter what age you are.

@kprofgames Does that also mean the rich adults who have everything are not trapped by adulthood?

I learned that old people never have stress because they have more experience

As we get older, some of our loved ones start to die. I wish that I could have been spared of that. Besides that, I have led a wonderful life.

@William21001 I lost my father over a couple of decades ago. But he was the most wonderful human being. Then I lost my husband when he was still young and one of my grandsons to cancer

I love them carefree days your first love your friends the partys everything was so cool back then. Things seem like they slow down when you get older.

It doesn't matter what you prefer. You should learn to accept your age and behave accordingly. Adults who want to preserve their youth forever are embarrassing.

I dont believe so there is a time and a place for it you cant act like a child when you have business to handle. So on one point you might be right on another your wrong.

@William21001 I wouldn't want to go through it all again. I like where I'm at. I would like to fall in love again and have a good loving relationship. That didn't happen the first time around.

I was never care free in my life to be honest. My childhood wasn't great either. At least now I can make my own decisions and I have my husband and children. =)

Like I said some of us have it hard as a young person so we cant wait to get out and do things as a adult. But so of us had great young lives and when we got older it did not added up so well as a good time.

I prefer my adult life right now, because I did make a lot of foolish choices when I was younger that I just wish I could go back in time and undo.

I love my freedom now as an individual adult. My adult children treat me as their older, wiser friend and chum with meaningful element of respect as their mother.

I prefer my younger life when I was carefree, I could do anything I want , buy anything I want because I work for it but now I am married, I feel like I am a bird in the cage
