I don’t have a garden, my neighbor does. She has given me two potted plants, an aloe vera plant and a rose plant. These were a gift from her. Whenever she goes away for a vacation she leaves me in charge of watering her garden. Some persons plant bare root plants directly in the soil of their front yard or backyard while many prefer plants in pots. My neighbor has a huge garden and almost all her plants are potted. One day as is was sipping my coffee standing in my front yard, as usual I saw her water her plants. As we got talking I asked her “Why so many potted plants? Why don’t you plant them directly in the soil of your yard” She smiled, and said “I love my plants too much and don’t want to leave them behind, in case I’ve got to sell my house and shift”. It made sense; I guess if a person shifts location, potted plants are easy to carry. She also added “Potted plants add symmetry to gardens and give an aesthetic layout” Also, I believe many prefer indoor potted plants because can be placed in accordance with decor inside the house in different rooms. Ultimately, it’s a personal thing, some love plants in pots, others love planting bare root plants directly in the soil. What’s your favorite potted plant? Do you prefer potted plants or do you prefer planting bare root plants directly in your garden soil?

I potted up a few of my garden plants before I moved, but left most of them behind. I should have taken more as the new owners (developers) will be ripping everything up and putting in something nice and boring.
