Sometimes I hate technology

Our landline and ADSL were finally repaired last Saturday afternoon after being out of order for 10 days, and over the course of the last week I've been desperately trying to catch up on some of the things I couldn't do during that period, but I've had to accept that it's a long, slow process and I'll never catch up on everything. So you can imagine my horror when I got home an hour ago and discovered that they're broken again. At least this time I've got a dongle that I bought just before they fixed the problem last week, so I now have limited access to the internet and my email. Limited because data costs so much more this way. I guess I won't be doing much on any earning sites for a while because it costs more to be online than I can earn at those sites. I'm only here because there are some posts I badly want to read. I really need to update my blog, so I guess I'll have to write a post and use some expensive data on that though.

I cannot believe it, it's the line down again? I wonder what's wrong with it.

The workers installing cables for fibre internet keep damaging our telephone line. Our neighbours are having the same problem. It seems they're really careless.

@Gina145 It's a shame, they should pay more attention.

@LadyDuck Absolutely, but this kind of thing is common around here.

This would be so frustrating. I hope you can get it sorted soon.

Thanks@JudyEv . I've run out of data too so I'm back to using my kindle. The problems they've caused are costing me a lot of money and now it looks like I'll have to buy a new cell phone so that I can use Whatsapp when our landline isn't working.

@JudyEv I bought a LOT more data late yesterday so I was online from my computer briefly last night. They came to fix everything this morning so, if nothing goes wrong again, that money may be wasted. There's a chance I'll be able to use it one my new cellphone when I buy one, but I'm not sure. I wasn't really planning on getting a lot of data for my phone though because I'm not really keen to spend time online when I'm not home, so it will still be a waste... or it will force me into antisocial behaviour.

@Gina145 That's a shame. It's hard to get around problems sometimes isn't it?

@ABHISHEK112 It's really hard to go on when one doesn't have access to the services one needs. My mother doesn't use a cellphone or the internet, so she really relies on the landline.
