Cancer: We just don't know

I don't want to worry you more, but I know from experience that you can think you are doing everything right, eating well, exercising, keeping your weight down, using only safe cleaning products, organic fabrics, etc., etc.
And cancer can still occur in your body.
There are hundreds of voices claiming that they know what causes cancer: Radiation, pesticides, herbicides, inflammation, sugar, even blocked emotions.
So what is it, really? We simply don't know.
Any method used to cure, or at least control, cancer, has its successes, so it could be various causes.
Whatever it is, we don't know yet so we don't know what to do or what not to do to avoid it. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Because we don't know, we might be doing the exact thing that will stop cancer.

Yes and I have understood from my Moms oncologist that no matter what we do, some people can develop cancer as they are predisposed to it due to certain markers..It is good to keep trying as you say though Peavey.

@peavey I believe that there is a lot we can do to help ourselves even with cancer. I hope it is not touching you or your family.

There is nothing out there that I know of that can totally prevent someone from getting cancer. And nothing out there yet that can 100% treat all forms. Unfortunately for many it is hereditary. All you can do is learn how to take care of your body better with healthy eating, and keep on top of things when something is going wrong, and does not feel right. And Pray that god will help and protect you no matter what you go thru.

I had chemo for a lymphoma and now it isin remission. If I had not had chemotherapy, I would not be here. In my opinion, Bein possitive helps get well from any ailment.

I think that part of the problem is that since it has several different types there could be a specific cause for your type of cancer.

It isn't easy to avoid. I just heard something really shocking that 1 out of 2 women will get cancer in their lifetime. So whatever we're doing or not doing the results so far are sickening.
But I will continue to take every precaution that I can and that makes sense.

The results are truly sickening. The statistics are the same in the US, anyway and I think it's one out of three men. It makes sense to be as careful as you can and do everything you know to do. Because someone "might" get cancer doesn't mean they will.

@1hopefulman I know. It's been a learning experience in more ways than one.

@peavey If one takes good care of themselves and still gets it then they won't blame themselves.
