Bring on the Holiday Food!

As the temperatures drop I find that I begin to crave foods that I experience on Thanksgiving. Today, I was looking for a gluten free stuffing recipe.
I found one that's fairly simple. I need to buy gluten free turkey broth, gluten free croutons, butter, onion and celery for the stuffing recipe.
I also plan to order some gluten free gravy mix and maybe a gluten free pie crust.
I love the holidays. Do you crave certain foods this time of year?

Hey, lady! I know you from ForumCoin!
Yes, the weather is cooler and I am ready for pumpkin things and squashes and stews. I just put a batch of steel cut oats in the slow cooker to cook overnight for tomorrow's breakfast. It will be a very cozy breakfast.
I am going to test out a stuffing recipe this week myself, and I have a loaf of almond flour gluten free bread that I've made from a Simple Mills mix to use with it. I'll have to tell you how it works out.

@aladyinutah In this case, it's more to salvage the bread and to see what works... the mix makes a good flatbread and breadsticks, but we didn't like it as a sliced loaf for sandwiches. I'm just a little worried about burning it, since you can overtoast almond pretty quickly.

Hello @spiderdust - Yes, I recognize you. It's always fun to read what you write. You sound more ambitious in the kitchen than I am but I'm definitely enjoying cooler temperatures and warm food.

I think I could eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I love the holidays with all the traditional foods and being surrounded by family. The one thing I've never been able to make well is gravy. My mom would always step up and make the gravy at holiday time but now she's gone and I'm thinking of buying packaged like you have in your picture.

Sometimes I put the turkey drippings and/or turkey broth in with the package gravy; instead of adding water like it says on the package.
