Imported Nuts and Dried Berries

Peanuts are common here, but I'm not really fond of them.
We also have cashews, which I really like, but they can be pricey, too.
I like imported nuts like almond, pecan, macadamia, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts and walnuts.
I've started buying a small pack once in a while, ever since I found them in the Baking Needs Section of the supermarket.
You can see in the picture I attached how 100 grams of almonds look like.
And here's how much other nuts cost:
Almond 100g (3.52 ounces) = 98 pesos or US$ 1.90
Walnut 100g (3.52 ounces) = 87 pesos or US$ 1.70
Cashew 100g (3.52 ounces) = 89 pesos or US$ 1.73
Another imported but pricey snack I like are dried mixed berries.
At another supermarket, I saw a pack that I really liked, an awesome mix of dried blueberry, cherry, cranberry and raisin all in one pack.
It was 6 ounces (170 grams) = 214.50 pesos or US$4.18.
But if I bought it, it would be hard to resist eating just a few at a time to make my "money" last.
It would be nice to receive nuts and berries and fruits, instead of cookies, chocolates and candies as pasalubong or homecoming gifts.
Which nuts and berries do you love and not love?
Are nuts and dried berries expensive where you are?

Oh yes, those nuts even cashew nuts are pricey. But even if they are, once in a while I also buy, because they are not only delicious but good for the body and has lots of health benefits.
I haven't eaten dried blueberry. I think, I have to go to the supermarket to ask them if they have that also.
But it seems they don't have that though. I like to have a taste of that, because I love blueberry. I always just buy the blueberry jam. Expensive, but delicious.

that's why i'm glad i noticed them in small packs at the baking needs aisle at the supermarket. i was delighted to see the mixed berries in one pack, but it's just too expensive for me. i had an officemate who loves smuckers.

Indeed, very pricey, but almost worth it if people were not so greedy. Kind of one where you say, I love them more so will be contributing to people's greed, sad to say. Damn you nuts.

Walnuts and Hazelnuts grow locally, Almonds come from other European countries, we buy at our local supermarkets, the bags are of a 150 grams, the prices more or less the same you stated. We also have pistachios coming from Turkey, both salted and natural.

Pistachio and almonds are favorites of mien but I make do with what is locally available at affordable prices. As for mixed cherries, I just settle for raisins and plums.

Yes, they are pricey. I overheard one story about a man from the Philippines who is working in the US. Everytime, he goes back home, he brings imported nuts. And every time he goes back to the US, he bring the local peanuts.

i would love those over the usual chocolates, cookies and candies. he only brings peanuts to the us? how about our cashew, pili nut? there's also butong pakwan (watermelon seed) and kalabasa (squash).

Peanuts, the rest you mentioned are quite expensive. They grow in the opposite side of the country and also imported.

I agree. They are expensive but deliciously healthy too. I found a pack that has variety of nuts (almonds, pecan, cashew and walnut) and it costs 500.00 pesos. I forgot the grams though.
I like nuts better than berries.

I never really noticed the price of those nuts and berries. Sultana/raisin tends to be (I think) the cheapest of the lot, so I never thought much when buying them. Guess we pay slightly less than what you pay there for Cashew and Almond (I am not so sure but I think so). I love peanuts best.
