Interesting posts, and I can't respond

I hope I have not offended this myLotter.
If I have, I apologize.
I was able to respond to her posts earlier. But for some reason, it has not been possible of late.
May be I have been accidentally blocked.
I tried taking help of a couple of friends. But well, the smiling face lady must have hurt about something that I wrote out here.
I can only hope that I am alerted about the nature of my mistake. It is all a process of improving thinking. I tell you something, you teach me something, what is rational gets accepted, and what is irrational gets discarded. We all grow up to be better human beings, and leave the world satisfied that we made it better than before.
That is the opportunity I feel myLot offers.
But if I do not know where I went wrong, and am blocked, the flaw in me will not get corrected, and it will be in fact perpetuated because I will continue to hold that wrong opinion, right?

My last blocker blocked me for 3 words of humor followed by 2 smileys. Should I apologize to have some humor ? Should you apologize to have not the same opinion than a poster ? On a discussion site, most of the time the offender is the blocker. Send her two witnesses and choose your weapons, saber, rotten tomatoes or whatever you want. By the way, I do not find fair to give her name in a discussion.

I definitely did not want to give it. But there simply was no way I could communicate my apology to her. I wish she'd told me that this is way too harsh or this is rude or this is not right. I would get time to reflect upon it.
I always communicate the reasons for my discomfort or inability to accept the other person's reasoning. I give the person a fair chance because losing a friend is not something on my agenda. It takes quite a while to understand a person, and like some qualities. Blocking without communicating the reason for blocking defeats the purpose of blocking. To differ in opinions is perfectly alright. Ruby Hawk and me differed on that wall thing of Trump as did Rebelann. This platform helps us to rationalize with each other and that is why myLot is great. We learn of different perspectives and those are not wrong either. We may, at the best, be deciding without all facts on hand. After all, I do not know everything that happens at your end, right?
In any event, I do feel it is accidental blocking. Should I remove the name? How then will she come here..

@topffer .. I tried that top. I asked Sonja Rae, and JJ to help me out on this. She has not replied. She may not be checking her PMs.
I am not given to that false dilemma thing..lol. Mistakes happen, nobody is perfect, least of all me. lol. Thinking differs as per environment as well. I have no wish to intrude...but I wish I knew "why".

@vandana7 It is a paralogism by false dilemma, there were several other ways possible without giving the name : you could write this discussion and ask to someone to send her the link with a PM, or ask to somebody to apologize for you with a PM.

I got blocked for the first time by a person never thought it would come from. It was pretty silly just standing up for football players who choose to kneel during the national anthem for police violence. Apparently standing up made him mad.
Oh well, funny to see 1 comment but can't read it because he blocked me. Hopefully yours is just a misunderstanding.

Thank you for your wishes. :) I try not to hurt others. That is not to say that I have not. But @topffer had all the reasons in the world to block me, and he has been forgiving. Sometimes, I am drowsy ..in fact, most of the time I come here, I am drowsy so I type something that comes out as rather harsh since English is not my mother tongue. My thinking process is in a different language after all.

@vandana7 You do seem rather blunt and pull no punches. One of the reasons I like you. But to each is own, some have a hard time with that mindset.

@vandana7 I do not see any reason to block anybody else than a troll or a plagiarist here, and you are not a troll or a plagiarist. Anybody signing here should agree to accept different opinions from other members. We often disagree, but we have always done it like civilized people.

If the mylotters for whom this discussion is intended does not read your post/apology, your efforts may go futile. I was also blocked by a mylotters, who normally gets huge number of responses on her discussions. When I approached her through some friends or may be through a direct discussion, although she unblocked me but did not explain the reasons for blocking me.

I am sorry to read this Vanny. Hopefully it was just a mistake as often happens here. I had been blocked also by mistake.

It happened to me, I believe that maybe she was accidentally blocked me or something.
But later on, I found it and she did it on purpose.
And I moved on. We really can't please anymore.
It would be better for us to know what went wrong, right? At least we know why they got offended.

I think in this case she did it accidentally. But I remember recent interactions between you and me. Some would have blocked me for those, but you were open to reasoning and patient to enlighten me. I finally realized I was wrong. That is how it should be. :)

@JustBhem .. If I am wrong, I always admit it. Saves me a lot of botheration developing arguments for defending my stand on wrong, and keeps me less tense on tasks that require serious attention. lol. My policy. :) Thanks for having tolerated me. :)

I don't end up hating people because of our differences when it comes to our own perspective. We all have our own freedom to open our thoughts. I respect everybody's perception whether it's wrong or not. And we are human, right. I appreciate that you are good sports when it comes to admitting you are wrong.
I like people who are very honest about their thoughts.

Even Patsie has been blocked by mistake. Do you want us to ask her if she blocked you by mistake?

@vandana7 I understand you. It happens to me too. There are some ideas that are difficult to put in another language.

@marguicha .. Sigh..if only people would realize how much of extra effort it requires to frame that sentence correctly without hurting others, they would appreciate us I suppose. If they were writing in our languages, they would face same issues.

It would be so kind of you. I already requested JJ and Sonja Rae. But so far, she has not responded. I presume there must be something I wrote which sounded rather harsh. What happens is we translate sentences in our minds from our mother tongue. There can be mistakes that make the comment sound harsh. Likewise, there may be some opinions formed because of the environment I am brought up in. How is blocking going to change that thought or opinion? Rationalizing would.

That's such a sincere apology.I surely hope she comes by soon.Sorry about that but remember we can never please everyone. Some people will always not like us or what we stand for.As long as we know we didn't mean any harm we should peacefully move on and let things be.
All the best with your friend!

Yes, she came and well, it turns out that she blocked me accidentally. Pleasing others online is not exactly what I do. :) And frankly, here, we can afford to voice our thinking in cool and collected manner, most of the times. In real life, we are doing things almost in real time, therefore, misunderstandings are more likely in that sort of situation. Nice to meet you Nancy. :) Welcome to myLot. :) You will love it here. :)
