@Christinb Age is just a number, but experience is different. 43 years old have tons of experience in life already but it was depends on how 43 years old man use those experience as positive or negative, I don't prefer to ages, I prefer on what type of person he or she is.

To me the age is a problem. I don't like my man will be older than me so many years. As there are a lot of difference. And there will be a big generation gap between us. And our physical situation may not match. And your friend is also afraid to make her relationship open and it already tells a problem.

To me age does not matter.What matters is my happiness.
So would she rather settle for a younger guy who might not make her happy?I think there are more important things to consider than just age..i.e a person's character.But if she so feels age is a problem then it will disturb her for the rest of her life so she better goes for what makes her happy.
Since you might advice her but at the end of the day its her to decide what she can live with.All the best to her!
