Fasting and the different types of fasting

Hi everyone! I was wondering what your thoughts are on fasting. Currently I do the 16/8 fast, which means I fast for 16 hours and then allow myself 8 hours to eat. l have noticed huge improvement in my body from doing that. I feel that it has been improving my health since I allow my body time to rest. There are also other types of fasts such as 24 hour water fasts. Has anyone tried any of these fasts? If so do you feel like it helped you?

I'm doing the 16/8 fast for a couple of weeks now and I must agree that it has been giving me lots of benefits.

Not aware , but giving rest to stomach or digestive system is important

I dont know that I would ever do this. Seems better to just eat healthier and in more moderation.

Is it fasting for religion or weight loss? Sometimes i fast for religious purposes but I'm not so consistent.It's been long since i last did it.Also other times i fast involuntarily because I'm busy and i forget to eat :)
