The Proposal (my side of story)

We met at one company - I was a marketing associate then, and he was a credit verifier (CV). We were at the same company but different departments. In our office, all of them treated me as “youngest.” Whenever they have get-togethers, I always make sure to be there as well- as I enjoyed bonding with them and with their families One day we went to one CV’s house. I thought Mario was new to the group- we dont know each other yet, I don’t even have any interest in him as in. After the event they asked Mario to drop me off to the nearest bus terminal. He then agreed, so I backed ride on his motorcycle and asked him to dropped me at bus stop. Then he asked, “where you from?” And I answered, “Mandaluyong” (city in Philippines) and suddenly he took the way towards the Fort, Taguig (meters away from our home) ; and I said, "Hey, i told you to drop me at the nearest bus station?”. And he answered, “ I have a coupon here from starbucks can we use it?.” My first impression that time was “what is it with this man? He will going to treat me, but we dont know each other at all”. When he was ordering, I told him, “can I asked for a take out I need to ho home my dad is already looking for me”; and he said “yes”. So after he gave me the Choco Frappe Venti, he took me home to our house. I thanked him for the ride. 2nd time we met, my group was going to have a movie night at Rockwell (mall). We have unused free tickets, so I called almost all of my friends and officemates for these. I was left with no choice but to call whoever was in my Blackberry. I saw his name on the contact list and called him. I asked him if he’s free because we have still free tickets to be used. I also felt that I should return the favour because of the Starbucks treat he gave to me. However, he was not available that time, so Jerico one of the CVs, joined us instead. I was at home, listening to music and was online at FB. He was calling about 10 pm in the evening. I answered the call and asked why he was calling. He asked me to attend his nephew’s birthday, to which I replied, I couldn’t come that time because I was busy. He asked me on the spot to attend a children’s birthday party but I was not available (but the truth I took a revenge because he declined my offer . ?) To make the story short, it took months before he started giving me gifts and flowers. He’s present for me, even his busiest day he had- he even visited my handling dealer shops, family celebrations, birthdays, anniversary of parents and all. He didn't let us to have a date with him and I only but always in a group, that's my dad command to him while he was still courting me. I thought I started to grow in love with him, when he joined me one Sunday to attend our church. When he was the one insisting me that we go to church together, I prayed and asked God that if this man would be honest to tell me who really he was and his intentions, then He really was serious aboutme. Finally that day came, that he opened up about his past; and I learned that he was already single dad. Instead of being shocked, I smiled a lot and said, “thank you Lord; I think he is the one.” My parents told us that they are also praying for us, Months of waiting, he proposed; and expectedly, I said yes!
