I'm a new desktop user though my CPU is still on the repair shop and I can't bring it right now because I don't have sufficient money right now. I'm using the monitor of desktop connecting to my laptop as my laptop's display is not working and need big money to repair which I can't afford.
Before using desktop I need to know how careful I should be that my device perform good.
Thanks in advance friends.

Normally desktops are good devices and last a long time. The only thing you need to remember is to back up your data from time to time. Hard drives these days go out a lot faster than before. If you are on Wndows 10 use the defender it is a good anti virus and works well. Just shut it off t night when you are done and you should be fine.

Desktops seem very sturdy and last a long time no worries.

You can run a computer - desktop or laptop - for years. If it's a laptop, the battery won't last long. And the screen of a laptop is kind of delicate. At some time you'll bump into something.
Virus and stuff won't harm the hardware. Just do proper backups and re-install everything if something is not working.
Avoid liquids. Don't drink anything near it, because at some point in time you'll spill it.
Mind power surges, depending on what country you live. In some tropical countries that's an issue.
