Reading is Fundamental - Book or Internet Thread

September 19, 2017 2:49pm CST
I know a person who claims they read every day, throughout the day. The extent of their reading comes from articles on Top Buzz and Facebook. I asked him what is his favorite book or author, and he says he doesn't read books and hasn't read an actual book in years. Besides reading my school textbooks, I usually read at least a book or two each year. I just don't feel like reading Top Buzz every day is equivalent to reading a book. Do you agree?

I agree. Reading is more fun than television. I read a lot of books, some of my favorite authors are Stephen King, Dean Koontz for horror, and for mystery I like Richard Stark, Ed McBain, and Kathy Reichs. But I read a lot of other books by different authors too

I read a book a week, maybe two. Depends on the size of the book.

I read everyday some days thru the whole day when i can sneak a hour or even 15 minutes. I read every morning and every night. I just love reading. I don't think it is the same but that is me. Not to say I cant find something on line to read all the time too! I average at least 5 books a month if not more. The times others watch TV my nose is buried normally in a book.
