People need to get a job

Why do I say this? Because as our little quiet street was sleeping someone or someones, snuck and broke into vehicles. Rick had just gotten out $30.00 to last us the rest of the week to buy milk or whatever we would need. Needless to say that is gone. When I got up this morning and he told me, he then got unhappy with me when I told him that I keep telling him to lock the darn thing. I guess it was like 4 streets here that got hit. We are getting the deer cam set up out front this weekend. So that was not a fun thing to wake to!

Shouldn't keep money in the car. But you know that. Now maybe Rick will too.

I agree, just don't think he ever thought it would happen where we are, been here for over 20 years and it has never happened before. Shows him times is changing and now he will be more careful.

@Ithink Just because something hasn't happened before doesn't mean it won't continue not happening. I've never fallen down a well, but there's always a chance I might in the future.

@BarBaraPrz I think if it continues and they are stupid enough to come back around this street someone will get shot so I hope they stay away.

Some people are just like that, going for easy money not thinking they might get caught.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. It is sad that many times anymore even during the day it is not safe to leave your car unattended. People anymore just are too desperate and willing to try anything.

@Ithink and that is the Sad part they never think about when they are doing it. Especially when it is in desperate times because they need $$ and think this is the Best way to get it.

During the day no one does anything here. With the few neighbors we do have someone is always outside doing something and some carry. That is what one said today, that the fools will get themselves shot one of these times.

@tech40 I have been told they did it to a bunch of people, hopefully they get caught. As for me I don't do things to get in trouble, I have no time for that stuff as I'm a busy person. I also like being able to walk outside when I want, hard to do that if you are always in trouble and end up in jail. NO THANK YOU!!

That's crazy! Though I have to say... its better that they broke into your car than your house! Also be glad it was only $30 taken and not your entire car

If it was the house they most likely wouldn't have walked out. I don't know if they could have taken the car, something about an anti-theft blah blah blah thing. LOL! Taught him a lesson thou.

@Ithink Sounds like you're very lucky that 30 bucks was the only loss... Karma will bite that person in the butt most likely when they get caught. I doubt it will be their last time thieving, they're bound to get caught sooner or later

That's already a job but unlawful. Stealing is every where that's probably very hard or even too hard to find a job nowadays. Sorry to hear that.

There is jobs here, just lazy people that find it easier to party off others money. Our neighbor and we are on the watch now. If they are smart they wont try again. Vehicle is now locked too, I guess he finally thought it wise to listen.

@Ithink do you have to put up fences to mark the area and avoid trespassers?

Lesson learned for him, maybe he will listen and realize I'm always right! He asked why I wasn't more mad, I'm like there isn't nothing I can do about it now. Gotta let it go. Tessa will just have to go slower on milk and I will use the money I had put up. That said I do think it is a thug move, they need to get a job!

Same thing happened to me. Twice! I couldn't remember whether I locked the car the first time. They took my checkbook case which was in the armrest. The second time, I knew for sure that the car was locked, but they got in any way. The alarm didn't even go off, however, there wasn't anything for them to take this time, so they I guess they got upset and went to the dumpster and loaded my car with trash! It had to be kids with nothing better to do!

Ohhh my! That there was some sore losers! I cant imagine. We have determined between us and our neighbor it had to happen between 2 and 4 am. I went to bed then she went to work at 4. We only have a very few neighbors and we look out for each other. Now your hoods had some time! I don't get people that feel it is alright to take from others.
