Ready to sleep so that the real world does not hurt me

I have been watching the news at CNN channel.
I think I´d better close my eyes an my ears to what they say and turn the TV to the absurd reruns of the old CSIs where they set the world right in moments.
In the real world, the DNA samples take weeks to be checked and even then the bad guys cannot be arrested. In CSI, Horatio Caine and his group catch a couple of murderers in less than one hour.
In the real world, the chaos left by Katrina have left permanent scars in New Orleans. And now these hurricanes (not one but a lot) are destroying in such a way that for many years paradisiacal islands in the Caribbean will be places where once there lived people.
And in the real world, mother nature plays being terrorists destroying everything in a couple of minutes as it has happened twice this year in Mexico with giant earthquakes.
So, friends, I hope you are safe wherever you are, sleeping tight or working happily.
See you tomorrow

@FayeHazel So true. I hope my country helps Mexico in due time. We have some expertise in earthquakes.

The real world is very depressing anymore. I try to avoid the news when I can or it gets overwhelming. I hope you have sweet dreams and that you stay safe.

Horatio or "H" as they called him. Loved that series but you are right, things don't get done as quickly in the real world.Stay safe

I watch Investigation Discovery and sometimes it takes 20 years to get the bad guy in real life. Thank you. I am safe.

Hope you had a good night. I don't watch any news but I know I should at least know what is happening where I live in Riga Latvia. So every Saturday morning I put on a news program that has been video taped and I can watch what has happened all week long. The world news I check online.

I hope you slept well..no catastrophes to mess up your sleep.
The world has always been a scary place....now the news and Internet put it directly in front of us. It's much harder to bury our heads in the sand....but I'm going to try.

I watched for hours yesterday Mexico´s earthquake and the hurricane Maria over Puerto Rico. I slept late finally, but now I´m with the TV on news again.

@marguicha I check online every now and again. I'm glad I don't have television reception...I can ignore what is happening all around me.
