Juvenile Diamondback Water Snake

This is a photograph I took of a Juvenile Diamondback Water Snake. These are harmless, but very aggressive. They will bite when provoked.

That looks similar to the brown water snake we have around here. Some people call them water rattlers because they resemble a rattlesnake, but to me they more resemble the cottonmouth. They, like the snake in the photo, are not venomous but they are very aggressive and will bite.

I am scared of snakes but it is a pretty one.
