Money or goods? Someone in our community was gunned down the other day, she died in the hospital. She has been a widow for around 4 years and now she left her 8 children, and the youngest is 6 years old. Since she used to do our laundry for us, me and my brother were thinking of what to give to the bereaved family, goods or money. Then we have decided to give them goods--biscuits, coffee, sugar. How about you, what do you prefer to give, goods or money?

@Lucky15 I am tempted to say 'Jesus Christ!' She already has 8 children! Unless her husband wants her to be removed so that he could install a new replacement?

It depends.. If I can see the situation that they really need foods to serve for the visitors then I will give food. But maybe, I will give both money and food. It will help them a lot.

@Lucky15 I think it is better to give both if we also have both the money and the goods.

It think it would be a combination of goods and money for me. They may have some things important to buy or pay for the burial.

I have some thoughts with money, but i know there will be "abuloy", and goods might lessen their burden on what they will be buying ;/

So sad. For me, i would give them both but more to goods since they were children. They need groceries support.

Goods might be used for emergency more, since they got some "abuloy" from various organizations

@Lucky15 A shocking case! I feel sorry for that person, the one who has to take care of his/her siblings. I hope that family has got some sort of support from the government or they are well off enough.
