Last week was one for seeing the countryside

First a friend had business in Gloucester. She needed me to take her, so I got to wander round a city that I had never been in before. It is beautiful and I loved the Cathederal. I was thinking that was like a holiday when on Sunday a friend asked for a trip to the local garden centre. Only we just kind of drove on past, and somehow decided to go as far as Stratford on Avon. It was nice to see Anne Hathaway's house again. She was Shakespeare's wife. We did not need to go in as I used to give students tours and this was on the itinerary. It was glorious being out in the Cotswold countryside twice in a week, and I feel like I had two unexpected holidays. I just wish our phones had not gone dead so I could have taken pictures, but none of these places is that far so I might go to Gloucester again as it also has brilliant shops. It is nice when your friends need a lift and it turns into a holiday, isn't it?

I felt like God gave me a gift. You see, this week I had no money at all to do anything, and one friend paid me to take her on the trip, which meant I could even get my Grandson't birthday present and then the other paid the petrol for the other trip as well, leaving me enough to use in the week. Jehovah Jireh! (I put my last money into a collection last weekend and so I was really trusting and as usual got my testimony!) Thanks to the friend paying me, I even managed electricity and food.
