Sharing Social media accounts with a partner

I messaged an old coursemate on Facebook some days back and until this morning I didn't get any reply,I decided to write to remind her on her timeline and she then inbox me that it was when she saw the reminder on the timeline that she checked the inbox to access the message, that since she shares the same Facebook account with her Husband, that he login first and maybe read the message and forgot to tell her. So I was questioning myself if I can replicate same and my answer is pointed toward No.I don't why by the way.So will you share the social media accounts with your partner?
