Undergoing surgery

It is always a hassle having check-ups with the doctors because it is not just physically draining but financially draining as well. But of course there are times that you cannot avoid to visit them. Routine medical check-ups are okay, but when you are getting a check-up to undergo surgery, it is dreadful. I am about to undergo a laparascopic myomectomy to remove the myoma at my uterus. It is said to be less invasive, but still I can't help but to feel nervous about it. I am trying to keep calm by praying and being optimistic. How about you? Have u had any surgery? How did u handle it?
