An Electrical Nightmare!

Yesterday suddenly the light at the computer desk started dimming. Then the computer started acting funny. It would begin to start up, the light would dim and the computer would shut off. Then the internet modem wasn't lighting up like it should. So we thought O hear we go again with Frontier services! but then other things begin to happen. We would have electric in different parts of the cottage. It was crazy and we were concerned about a fire. My husband has limited knowledge about electric.
So we decided to call the landlord as Penelec ( our electric company) checked everything outside and all checked out ok. They said it was in the house.
Well I had plans to leave our home Thursday (today) and was frustrated trying to get the computer and wireless connection for Netflix on our tv to work so my husband had something to do over the weekend. So I prayed and asked God to please help. Well, the internet came back on, then the computer came back on. The tv came on but wasn't working like it was supposed to but he was able to watch tv.
Well I had a doctors appointment at 10:00am and our landlord was due to come between 9:30-10:00am. My husband left work at 11:00 to be here to help our land lord, but by the time he got home the landlord was done. He used to work for Penelec Electric company so he is very knowledgeable when it comes to electric. Well low and behold is was a fuse, so he replaced it and we are back to normal. Praise be to God and our land lord.
Have any of you had problems like that?

Thank goodness it was just a fuse..that could have been very dangerous if not.
Yes I have lived in places with dangerous electric wiring.
Amen God heard your prayer and glad to know you are all safe there Kimberly.

You just scared off a couple of years of my life. I am glad you got it all fixed but I am all alone in an old house now and I will have to hope that nothing goes wrong here because I have no one to help me at all.

Once, our ducted heating unit kept having problems. We changed the heating unit but it stopped working again and again. We found out later that the ducts were bitten by our dog, can you believe it? (or was it mice? )
