Is their a time limit on grieving?

I have lost many people in my family. Some have hit me really hard, I found losing a parent was the worst of them all. A parent is someone you turn to for help, love, encouragement, etc and when that leaves it leaves a big hole in your heart. If I had one more day I would bring them all back just to see them, hear their voice, hug them.

There is no set time on grieving and each person has the right to grieve in their own way. I have lost both my parents and some really good friends and long to reunite with them one day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WY4d2uroqE

I don't think there is a time limit for grieving. Especially when it's a parent. I think you take as long as you need and if its months or years, that's fine. I'm sorry for you loss though

We are all different, and we have to go through a grieving process.. When I lost my relatives, it has helped to think about the promise we have in the Bible about the resurrection, when we can meet our loved ones again.. I like to read in jw.org.. where we can get answers to our questions, we may ask

Speaking from experience - there is no time limit on grieving, especially a parent. I lost my Dad four years ago, and I'll always miss him, but I do have my nights where my mind wanders to when we lost him, and I feel sad over it. :( I am so sorry you have experienced this, I know how much it sucks (to put it mildly). Hang in there and grieve at YOUR own pace. *Hugs*

No limit on heartbreak. You will feel the loss and hang on to your wonderful memories. Some days are harder than others. I wish we coukd bring them back too. Hugs

Its a process that takes as long as you need it. I'm sorry for your losses. My Mom is stil with us and yet dementia floats her further away every day.

No time limit. Its been over a decade since I lost someone important in my family and I still grieve. Take heart. Grieving is therapy.
