So Im sitting here and the phone rings. I answer it and hear, "Nana?" I said "yes", with a smile on my face. It is Eric, he says "Night Night Nana, I love you". "I love you too," I say.
Just one of those moments that make me smile and my heart sing.

@Ithink Do you really have 20 grandkids? That's fantastic! Prayers that the mom and baby on the way will both be just fine.

OH that is so sweet. My son used to say I love you and good night every single day. But now that he's in his teens, I rarely hear him say it.

All my kids no matter what the age have always told me this. My one son, heavy into school sports, football, wrestling, and track even as a teen would tell me that and give me a hug when watching him do his thing in school meets. I have always loved that about them all. Not afraid to show how they feel.

That is really sweet.
Sometimes I get really sad that I will never have grandchildren because I never had any kids. I didn't want kids when I was young, and now I"m too old to have them. Well maybe not, but I found out last week that I can't have kids anymore because of a problem, so I no longer have a choice. I worry about being alone when I'm older :-(
I do have a nephew though, and two of my cousins are about to start having kids, so there will be kids at holidays at my house, which makes me happy.
You are so lucky to have grandchildren. I wish I would one day be able to have them.

That was indeed very sweet of them to say that.

Those precious moments are what we grandmas live for. I try to write them down so I won't forget.
