Good morning or Good Night to everyone ! Here is the photo of my morning breakfast, instant noodle soup without using the season sachet provided. I am trying to reduce the intake of the salty , high in MSG seasoning sachet which is provided in the packet. Actually, it is easy to prepare your own noodle soup seasoning with simple ingredients. Firstly, soak the instant noodle from the packet into a bowl of tap water for a minute. Then, bring a half pot of water to boil. You can either use any brand of chicken cube, anchovies cube or vegetarian cube for the seasoning. Alternatively, you could also add in chicken bones, light soy sauce and white pepper for flavor. Then toss in carrots, mushrooms , soft tofu or any veggies that you prefer. Once the veggies are semi-cooked, toss in the instant noodle, stir briefly so that the noodles could absorb the seasoning. It takes around 5-10 minutes to prepare this simple noodle soup . Do you use the seasoning sachet when you cook instant noodles? Do you use the whole sachet or 1/2 sachet? my own photo

I had to stop eating these type of soups because of the salt and I am diabetic. But I used to love them.

@kepweng salt is bad for high blood pressure and the noodles will make blood sugar high.

I never bought instant noodles, products containing MSG are not allowed here, I would not use the sachet if it contains MSG.

@peachpurple Yes, the instant noodles sold here are just dried noodles, no sachets are sold with the noodles.

Sounds tasty. Those seasoning packets are not good for you, that's for sure.

good idea to remove the oil excess first. Fresh noodle is better or pasta

if you're using bouillon/stock/broth cubes, then it's okay to not use the seasoning in the sachet of instant noodles. since the cubes are artificial seasoning/flavoring, i think they also have salt, msg, etc.

Yes, I agree with you. I use 2/4 of the chicken cube only.

oh good, that is better because instant noodles are actually not healthy either, just for emergency when the fridge is empty

your noodle soup is yummy. yes, i believe it is better not to put the seasoning into the boiling water when cooking instant noodles. it has many sodium additives.
