Do you ever come up with a symptom of some sort, google it, and become convinced you are dying?

So, last night for some reason, I developed a pain in my foot. It wasn't excruciating but noticeable FYI I am not diabetic!. Every 15 minutes or so I would get a slight jolt of pain. I was thinking now what the heck? So, I googled it and of course, it could be bone cancer...hope not lol...Ankylosis Spondylitus, and other dread diseases. It also apparently could be a Vitamin D deficiency. I don't think so.. I drink plenty of milk.. Umm, I hope it was just a transitional pain in the foot..It wasn't intense. They also said quinine is sometimes good to treat this. Have you ever experienced a pain, googled it, and kind of wished you hadn't?

That's the thing about reading about all the possible diagnoses . . . it could be any one of those, and of course we get the worst scenario ones stuck in our heads .

@snowy22315 How about self feet massaging or exercise/stretches? I have one of those bumpy things you can stand on to help circulate the bottom of the feet. I sometimes get feet pain if I wear different shoes or barefoot on very hard surfaces too long.

I decided to do that a number of years ago and was glad I did. I put the symptoms in and it came up as carbon monoxide poisoning and said to get right to the emergency room. I actually paid attention to what it said and ended up in the ER for the entire day as they did tests on me. The nurse didn't believe me that I had that, but then the test results confirmed I was right. I don't know where I got it from though as I had to have the fire department come out and check over the house before I could go back in. They couldn't find the source for it. I hope your pain in the foot goes away.

@snowy22315 Yeah, the look on her face when I told her what I thought was wrong was condescending. However, the look on her face when the tests came back positive for it was just the opposite. It was almost funny to see. I do check out certain symptoms every once in a while, or check out an ailment to see if it lines up with what I'm feeling, and I found one that makes a lot more sense than the doctor's shrugging their shoulders and not finding what the problem is. See, I get chest pains. I didn't always pay attention to them, at least not until I was forced to when I had one at work and ended up being taken to the emergency room via ambulance. The doctors couldn't find anything wrong with my heart. They did all the heart tests, even went for a possible stint. There's nothing wrong with my heart. The cardiologist jokingly said he would like to change hearts with me. So what did they diagnose - hyatle hernia - no clue how to spell that - they gave me a prescription for what they thought it was. I never filled it. I'm not getting a prescription based on what they think. I remembered one of my great aunts had pleurisy. I looked up the symptoms for that, and by golly if it wasn't just exactly what I'm experiencing every time I have one of those chest pains. When I was in the ER a couple weeks ago, they ran every panel again, including heart. It's still a good strong heart.

Yes, for sure! Hopefully, we can restrain ourselves from running to the ER though..with the abscence of any other symptoms!

Yes, I think if we were really dying though we would have other symptoms besides a pain in the foot! lol

maybe you walked more than usual, stretched it in an odd way while walking. Have you ever had quinine? If not you are in for a treat

My sister does that! Her husband says he'll come home and she's convinced she's got diphtheria from looking symptoms up online.
