Where's the cat?

Last night, when I was going to bed, I realized one of my "bed buddies" wasn't there and I hadn't seen her lately.
I start looking, because the last time one didn't join me, I found his body...
I looked in all the usual places. I looked in places she didn't normally go. I went outside to see if she were on the catio.
I thought and thought, trying to figure out where she might've gone.
Then I remembered we got the dialysis supplies delivered yesterday.
So, I fought my way past Cleo, who we "crate" in the hallway, to get to the "storeroom."
I open the door, and she pokes her head out of a box.
I pick her up to carry her out, but she wants none of that "holding" stuff - thank you - she'd rather go out on her own 4 feet.
I held Cleo back so Prissy, the cat, can get out. Then I had to fight to get out of the hall without letting Cleo out as well.
By then I was so wound up that I would've never gotten to sleep, so I came and sat on the computer playing games for another hour or so to get calmed down enough to sleep.
Isn't that just typical? Never heard her meow either and she didn't show herself when I was in there getting the supplies I needed for last nights dialysis treatment.

The little stinker. I've had several occasions when I tried finding one of mine too and when I do, they just look at you like, "What!!" @ElicBxn .

Glad you found your furball alive and well. She was still prepared to express her independence. Good thing you thought of the storeroom.

@sumofalltears it was only about 12 hours before I found her, just that if I hadn't found her then, I'd've found her the next day

Glad you found your cat. Our garage has a shed attached to it. There is a window that was broken. Last winter it was snowing and we could not find our cat Sid. I was wondering what he could be doing in the snow. Finally I thought to look in some place unusual. He had gotten into the shed through the broken window and was lying there on the windowsill. I go him inside and afterwards so such problems don't occur we boarded up the window.
