Do Harsh Words Hurt You?

They were harsh words unjustly spoken to me by an angry person! I had to hear them out last evening. Retorting would have made the situation complicated and unpleasant. So, I drank the bitter concoction! But, those words came back to mind during the night disturbing my sleep. I am a sensitive person. That is my strength. But am I overly sensitive to let those words upset my sleep?

If I were you, I would have cursed and swear behind that person's back and in my sleep

I did it in some way. I have to be careful with my curses because they have truly fallen on some persons in the past.

Yes, they cause more pain than sticks and stones. And sometimes, they are cut and slice like knives.

@franxav Yes, but it is better to get out of that incident soon as it is not good for our own self

Harsh words do hurt people. However, what you should do is to improve yourself and be stronger, not trapping into the anger.
