Struggling with acne

I have had acne since I can remember. I have tried numerous skincare products and even medications but most end up making the condition worse. Should I just get used to the fact that it is here to stay? Mind you its been over a decade since I was a teenager. It affects my self-esteem in a great way. That's the only problem with my body otherwise the rest is a masterpiece!!

True acne is something that is best left to the treatment of a dermatologist. There are medications they can prescribe to lessen the visual effects of it-the swelling, redness and pimples.

@Juliaacv The worst part with acne is it affects the neck, the chest and the back too.

The redness and the swelling are some of the worst experiences of this condition.

I can understand you. I have a daughter who has acne and she always asks me when her face will come back to being smooth the way it was. The other day I told her it is adolescence and saw how she was disturbed by this. The next question was when will she stop being an adolescent for the acne to go. I think you just have to live with it until it goes by itself.

@aureliah I just try to assure her that it will go to boost her ego. She does not want to hear that it will go on for that long.

@nangayo You should tell her it will and encourage her to be comfortable. Her self-esteem should not be affected by this. I got comfortable with myself.

I can feel her. I always though that after adolescent it would go away. It did not. I was then told when I'm 24 it will go away. It did not and then it was after I give birth. Its been years.

Sometimes I tend to think the problem is very deep from inside.
