Do you buy Halloween candy ahead of Halloween?

Honestly, I would not need to buy Halloween candy at all, because due to my remote location, I don't get any trick or treaters, however, I buy it because I like it. I am not a big candy person..but I wil get some that looks good. Even though I am not a big candy corn fan, they had some of the caramel fall colored ones onsale at the grocery store so I grabbed some. Most of my candy buying though comes after the holiday when the candy has been marked down significantly. What about you?

We don't even get trick or treaters in our mobile home park. We wish they would come. We buy a bag of mini candy bars "just in case" and end up eating it ourselves. Not sure we're even going to do that this year, my mom got a lot of candy for her birthday and doesn't want other stuff around for temptation. She is started getting blood sugar issues (along with everything else, it's hell to be 97 pretty much.) Doc says she can have a little at a time, that kind of thing. Poor mommy

@CinnamonGrl My dad is 80 and my mother not far behind. I don't see either of them living quite that long..but you never know I guess. 3 of my 4 grandparents lived to be 90 or better.

@snowy22315 My father is 99, but he had to enter a nursing home last year. At least he is nearby. But still hard, they have been married 76 years.

I try not to buy it ahead of Halloween because I'll eat it and then have to rebuy more for the trick or treaters.

@thislittlepennyearns Actually, there are a couple of young kids that live next door. If I see them or their parents prior to Halloween I could mention I have candy..but honestly, I don't see it happening.

We buy ahead of time, just in case. We don't get too many trick or treaters anymore. We only buy the candy we know we will enjoy.

I buy candy all year around for my clients at work. I actually try toAVOID buying candy around any of the holidays because it's so expensive. I wait for the post-holiday sales and then buy it up at a discount. Also, I buy bulk candy online...you can find some great deals out there!

I used to have a lot of them when I lived closer to the city. Not so much out here.
