I was once asked this question, "How do you describe the color red to a blind person?"
It took me a while to answer since I don't know what to say.
It's difficult to imagine what it feels like to be blind and not seeing a single color in the entire life.
I wonder how they see beauty in a world of blackness...?
I was told that it is through senses that they communicate to one another. Touching and talking are two of the ways to interact.
But how do you describe the color red to them?
I see red as a symbol of love. And love is a feeling we all can relate to, blind or not. And I would describe red like how love made them feel. That way, they would get the picture of what red is.
I'm not sure if my answer was right but if you were asked the same question, how would you respond?
