Hi! this is my first post here and I'm thinking of a good topic to post.. so I want to make my 1st post really personal..
I recently quit my day job because I can't find a decent baby sitter around our area.. It's either they rob you or they wont treat your kid right! So... now I'm trying out "work from home''. I'm a single mom and I use to make an average earning managing a small shop but as my kid is growing I wanted to have a more decent earning to prepare or her future. that is why I started to work but I cant find a steady and trustworthy sitter :( .
Can you guys give me tips to make this work? thanks :)

You can definetely try working online . I am in the same situation of yours, mother of 11 months baby. I work in some forums, Humanatic (call reviewing job), crowdflower (cant expect much tasks till you reach badge levels) and picoworkers.com(micro job site). I could not spend much time in the sites I mentioned, I find time during night time like 1 to 2 hours.

I can imagine how tiring that must be. Having to work while your baby is asleep. Hope you still manage to get enough rest.

@averagejane just by quiting, it was the best decision as you are able to see your kid and take care of her (or is it him?) Well, i should know, i am a full time mom as well.

sadly, you can't really know how they will perform until you hire them.
mylot is more of a discussion site, and we earn when we receive likes, response and comments. it only pays through paypal so make sure you put your paypal email address in your account settings.
some find it hard to earn, some find it easy. however, you can also learn about other online sites here from other mylotters.

It takes a lot of time and patience to earn a significant income from online work, but once you've found something that works for you, it gets easier. If you like writing maybe you can look for freelance writing opportunities. If you're good at crafts, you can start selling them online. It depends a lot on what you're willing to do. Good luck!

Hi, @averagejane 3 I feel you on this especially been a single mam, it becomes very hard to entrust your kid with someone. And when you decide to resign to take care of them it really means that you are so dedicated to taking care of your kid.
Am sure the challenge you had was where to get income to sustain both of you I hope you succeed in this.I would advise you to join several forums. So to earn more, All the best.

Working at home is flexible, but you gotta have a platform to work too.

myLot is a bit similar to Facebook. The only difference is we make a bit of money interacting with our fellow myLoters. Most of us are here just to interact with fellow myLoters all over the world. I still have my full time and part-time jobs.
