Mom's neck pain

Hello, My mom has been suffering from neck pain for years now. When she was younger, she used to carry heavy bags. Now, she is on her late forties and her neck bone has weakened. Almost every day, she feels uncomfortable. We brought her to several doctors. Some says that the neck bone has been overused and she just needs to be careful on her movements. Others say that it is the outcome of stress. One of the doctors, after all the medical tests, said that there is a crack in the bone and she needs to be careful on the movement. I am very worried for my mom. What would you advise for mom's recovery?

I'm sorry that your mom has to go through this. One thing I can say, she was a really strong and dilligent woman and she is and will always be. Have you ever tried any alternative remedies? I heard some of them are good ones.

I have severe spinal injuries from the base of the skull to the hips @excellence7 . If it 'is' a fracture, it could be pinching the nerve in the neck. If so, she could have laser surgery done. If the vertebrae is just pinching the nerve, she could see a chiropractor to have it set back into place. Using a hot, wet washcloth on the back of the neck and then doing slow, head rotations should also help. It wouldn't hurt either for her to take Vitamin D3 and Calcium tablets to help rebuild the bone.

My husband has a neck problem and the doctor suggested to go to see a physiotherapist. After many months of therapy he now feels a lot better. Your Mom should consider to do the same.
