Hubby's job ended in September. He is supposed to start a new on this month but our financial situation is a bit strapped at the moment. The twins classes are going on a trip to a Pumpkin Patch and the cost was $12 each. That might not seem like a lot but no paycheck for going on 3 weeks now, has hurt us. One of the teachers called me this morning because the money was due today. I told her the situation and she assured me that it did not matter. They have extra funds for both of the twins. A couple of families sponsored other kids in the classrooms. I am so glad they are going and I cannot wait to pay this good fortune forward!

That does seen like a lot of money for a child's trip. I'm glad someone helped you and also like the idea of passing it forward. I hope they had a great time!

The ten dollars covered the entrance to the farm, a pumpkin and I guess gas for the bus. The farm gave a discount for all of the kids and any adults that went with them. Normally, admission is ten per person, regardless of age.

@PainsOnSlate That would be nice but nothing is free any longer.

@ridingbet Thank you, he has a job interview today! The one he was supposed to be started already is taking their sweet time. We can't wait too long.

@rebelann I was so happy, I cried on the phone with her. He has a job interview today at 2 and the place is just down the road. It would be nice if he landed a job with them that he likes. The other place where he was supposed to have started at is taking their sweet time and we don't have the luxury of time.

@sallypup when one is on a very strict budget or behind in bills it is quite a bit. I am so happy that they will be able to go.

@Shellyann36 I agree. I remember when my daughter was young. We counted pennies so that we'd have enough gas in the car to get some where.

I do know sometimes our school has extra funds for children whose parents cannot afford things. Like if they raise a lot doing fundraising the extra can be helpful for kids who didnt sell much. I am glad your twins will not have to miss out on the fun.

@shaggin I am so glad as well. I know they will have such fun. We went to the same place a couple of years ago and they loved it.

I'm so glad your twins got to go, it would have been awful for them to have had to stay back. I love that you plan on paying it forward good for you. This world needs more like you.
