China and internet censorship

China is an economic power house and a global manufacturing hub that churns out goods for export to various countries. China's military power is also to reckon and it is well endowed with natural resources.
The only downside with China's its internet censorship. The great firewall of China limits everybody from sharing anything online that it deems offensive. Liu Xiaobo, the Chinese Nobel Peace Prize laureate died this year but the Chinese government made sure the world didn't know.
Many who tried to post anything to commemorate his life saw their posts deleted. Internet users must be having an awful life in China with its internet censorship

China also has censorship when it comes to "Freedom of Speech" You can't have that if you are a celebrity or well known.

@EMuhungi No idea! I found this article and I am shocked reading this. That sort of restriction might blow up in their face in future.
What would your world be like if you couldn't log on to Facebook or your favorite celebrity or news websites?
