Showing Compassion.

Nowadays showing compassion seems to become a myth. Family and friends seem to disappear when your desperately in need, of someone showing compassion. Everyone just turns their back. They could assist, but refuse to for whatever reason. It's as if everyone is just waiting! When/ if you ask for assistance, they tend to give you a finger, instead of a hand? Knowing that the helping hand will assist you in a profitable direction, but the finger doesn't have the strength too. They do just enough to keep your head above water, but wouldn't rescue you. "And they can!"

And it hurts Bhem. You would be there for them, why not the other way around, when the time comes.

That is very sad when your own family will not help you. There are people out there that care and will help.

@Lahlah1960 They certainly are, but, when they come along it is very very nice that they want to help you.

Sometimes they also have their own reason why they cant support you all the way, maybe they also have their own issuea that they are just keeping to themselves not to add on your issue.

True. Their are those that can or can't. Those that can simply refuse. Trust me on this, Djhoanna ison. One can see and sense the mockery.

Truly its sad to turn be down by your friends in times of difficulty. In such situations God is your only friend to turn to.

Sharing is caring. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That's what we're thought as kids. All seems to be forgotten now, Josephine. Truly sad.

As being said by one of the participants of the compassion's experiment "It has been really helpful in supporting me to maintain a sense of myself in relation to my clients. Breathing meditation and yoga helps me ground myself between clients and becoming more aware of my breathing has helped me reflect more deeply on my own feelings and what might be going on for my client. Mindfulness also supports to be more compassionate with me and kind"

I've experience the same as well with other relatives, when another relative of mine helps me, this relative who turns their back was spreading rumors that I was only taking advantage of the one who help me. Others just seem to be happy when you are down, instead of extending a hand.

It's very disappointing and sad, Eifel. Family and friends suppose to be there in someone's time of need. Hardly experiencing such, because if they assist, you might have more than they do.

Yes, what you've mentioned is true quite a bit, unfortunately. It makes people who truly care so valuable to our society.
